Martial Heroes Gold will bring more fun in FFXI. How much time do you want to put into an MMO and still be able to accomplish maximum level in a reasonable frame of time? Less than 10 hours a week? 10 to 20 hours a week? 20 to 30 hours a week? 30 to 40 hours a week? Are 40 or more hours a week?If you answered 40 hours a week or more, FFXI may be the right choice for you.
From what I understand, at least that is how they promoted it. Also I hear the economy is also much better, but they have banned a metric load of innocent load of innocent players along with the Gil sellers and buyers. And for the most part, they are very by the blood, if you know what I mean.
However, unless you have five friends that all happen to play at exactly the same time, every day, you are probably going to find out just how Wonderful and Magical the population is. Some of it is good, some if it is bad, like every collection of people. In Pugs I found that mostly, people are picking jerks.
Beware begin under geared and not spending every free moment outside of your Static grinding for gill to buy enough consumables for your experience party, or that next overpriced upgrade or spell on the AH. Also watch out for being ridiculed for not having items from content that nobody does anymore anyway.
I am speaking from my experience only, which does not include anything recent, as I have not played since November of last year. I just do not have enough time to play TWO Moms and keep semi-current on the few other forms of entertainment enjoy.
As long as you are having fun, who cares about anything else?
